Reminder – OKNA Zoom Trivia and Social Event This Tuesday

Don’t forget to grab some neighbors and join us this Tuesday evening for a virtual neighborhood social hour at 6pm via Zoom. We will be playing trivia hosted by Beau Bohanan and Untapped Trivia, so feel free to make a team to come with, or we will put you with other neighbors on the night of. We’ll also be leaving time in between trivia rounds for answering questions about serving on the OKNA board for those that are interested in running in the upcoming board elections in September. OKNA Board Elections

OKNA is looking for new board members to continue serving our neighborhood. We’re looking for people who have interest in:

      • Land use and development
      • Sustainability
      • Community building
      • Communications
      • WordPress knowledge
      • Neighborhood safety
      • Parks and Recreation

If you are interested in running in this year’s election please email the Chair, Alexandra Degher at chair@overlookneighborhood.org by September 11 to be included on the ballot.  Not interested in running? Please still remember to vote in the election on September 21st!

Preschool Openings Locally

If you are looking for preschool openings there are a few in our area.
Program starts September 7. They currently have 3 openings in their program that runs M-Th 8:30-12:30. Contact Erin if you are interested in enrolling your child.
They currently have several openings for ages 3 months – 5 years.
There will be an open house on October 8 for their new expanded preschool space.
