What’s Provided: Blend Coffee will be providing coffee for our volunteers. SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests. And Advice Booth is excited to host volunteers afterward for a special volunteer discount and Trashy Hour!

What to Bring: Please come wearing comfortable close-toed shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a refillable water bottle and a backpack so you can be hands-free. If you have your own grabbers or gloves, please bring them as supplies from SOLVE may be limited. You can also ride your bike if you’d like to use it to get farther afield. And if you have a bike trailer suitable for hauling bagged garbage, all the better!

Parking: Parking near the park is limited. Walking or taking the max is encouraged if possible.

5. Charter Commission unanimously advances the proposal to reform Portland’s elections and form of government; voters will get the final say.

This November, Portland voters will likely decide on foundational issues for the City of Portland and its residents: the city’s form of government and elections system. The Charter Commission proposal would allow voters to rank candidates, create geographic districts, expand the size of the city council and change Portland’s form of government.
